Privacy Policy

The short version

• Your calendar is read on your device and is never uploaded to us.
• Your location is used only to fetch the local rain forecast. We don’t store a history of where you’ve been.
• We don’t sell your data, and there are no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs in the app.
• Signing in exists so your setup follows you across your iPhone and Watch.

Your calendar

With your permission, the app reads your calendar events on your device (through Apple’s EventKit) to draw them on the rain timeline. Event data is used only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. The app does not create, edit, or delete calendar events.

Your location

With your permission, we use your location to request the rain forecast for where you are. The forecast itself comes from Apple’s WeatherKit; the location is sent to Apple to fulfil that request, subject to Apple’s privacy policy. We do not keep a log of your location history. If you choose a location manually, only that chosen location is used.

Your account

Sign-in is handled by Auth0 (an Okta company). When you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, Auth0 processes your email address and name to create and secure your account. We use this identity only to sync your own settings across your devices and to manage your subscription. See Auth0’s privacy policy. You can delete your account and its associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account.

Subscriptions

Calendar Weather is offered as an auto-renewable subscription with a free trial. Payments are processed by Apple; we never see your card details. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, which receives a random app-specific identifier and your purchase status to unlock the app. RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

This website

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (PostHog) to understand which pages are useful. It does not use advertising cookies or fingerprinting, and we do not sell this data. The website does not require an account.

What we never do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not embed third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs. We do not upload your calendar.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can delete your account in the app, and you can contact us for any other request at the email below.

Children

Calendar Weather is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
